The heart of the Flower Show is for you to show off your very best fruit, flowers, veggies, baking and art work.  There is an extensive list of classes you can enter in each of the Divisions as you can see below.

If you are 16 YEARS or UNDER then please see the
Junior Classes which are specifically designed for you.

Entering a Class

Everyone can enter exhibits for the Show. There are separate sections for Juniors, Horticulture, Floral Exhibits, Handicrafts, Photography, Art and Domestic and the Rules and Notes within each Division should be read carefully. Follow the entry procedure detailed below and good luck!

Good luck in whatever you enter!!

Everyone can enter exhibits for the Show. There are separate sections for Juniors, Horticulture, Floral Exhibits, Handicrafts, Photography, Art and Domestic and the Rules and Notes within each Division should be read carefully. Follow the entry procedure detailed below and good luck!

There are now two ways you can enter an exhibit:
enter online at
complete an official entry form available within the Show programme. Take the entry form (no fee required) to Johnstons, The Parade, Claygate.

All entries, online or paper, must be made no later than Monday 11 July. Entries cannot be accepted after this date.

Only one person’s entries should go on an online or paper entry form but there is no limit to the number of classes that he or she may enter. Only one entry per person or per garden in any class.

Bring the exhibit(s) to the Recreation Ground on Saturday 16th July, between 8.00 and 10.25 am. Collect an Exhibitor’s card from outside the Exhibits Marquee and display the exhibit in the appropriate part of the marquee, placing the card with only the Division and Class Number showing.

Judging commences at 10.30 am, by which time all exhibitors must have left the show marquee.

Presentation of cups for the Junior Section at 4.10pm and Adults at 4.40pm in the Main Arena. Names of the cup winners should be prominently displayed in the main marquee and by the Secretary’s Tent.

Exhibits to be collected at 6.00 pm. Plants, flowers, vegetables and other exhibits not collected will be auctioned at 6.15 pm, the proceeds going to offset the costs of the Show.

Prizes take the form of small amounts of cash. Prize money may be collected on the day of the show from the Information Point gazebo adjacent to the Secretary’s Tent between 4.40 and 5.15 pm. After that date, arrangements should be made with the Treasurer on 01372 202865 with a cut-off date of 31 October 2016.

Don't have green fingers?  Can't bake? Well there are still ways you can be involved.  Take a look at the EVENTS at The Show.  

Events include a Dog Show - you can enter your pouch for the 'Best Sausage catcher' class - and a Classic Car Parade.

16 years or younger?
Then there are a set of classes reserved for you!  See details of the Junior Section!

The classes for Junior exhibits are not the only special things for 16s and under.  There is the Children's Fancy Dress for example and loads of things around the ground!
